The common cold is a mild, viral infection affecting adults and children (more frequently). Colds usually develop slowly and symptoms can last up to two weeks and may include blocked or runny nose, scratchy sore throat, headache and cough.
Whilst many of the symptoms of Influenza are the same as colds, they appear quickly, are usually more severe and sometimes life threatening. You may also experience fever, muscle soreness and gastrointestinal symptoms. A bout of flu can leave you feeling very weak for 7 -10 days and may be very dangerous for at risk patients

Combination products:
We offer a range of products to tackle the common symptoms of Cold and Flu. These products may include painkillers like paracetamol or Ibuprofen which are used for pain/fever, decongestants to unblock your nose, and sometimes an antihistamine to stop runny noses. Examples of combination products include Benylin 4 Flu and Nurofen Cold & Flu. The Lemsip range remains popular for those who like to take medication in a hot drink form. Note that Lemsip products contain paracetamol and cannot be taken in combination with many other remedies.

Difflam Spray anti-inflammatory, painkiller and anaesthetic to provide targeted effective relief from a sore throat.
Strepsils range – for those requiring a little more relief than normal lozenges the “Intensive” and “Plus” ranges are very effective for treating sore throats.

For those hoping to prevent colds and flu’s or lesson the severity and duration we carry a wide range of products.
